Okay so I got this wireless router for my family while I'm back because they changed services and the old service gave them a nice gateway wireless router / dsl modem... anyway.
I have an issue though, I just got through configuring it for them and I realized that the port-forwarding part of the router seems to be pretty crappy as it seems to have room for 1 port (1-45652) and no comma, semicolon, or hyphen methods of adding additional ports (so Warcraft 3 or Crysis would require about 5 different entries) and while that's fine IF I wasn't a massive-gamer and software user... I am.
My question is if there is a way to (since I have a max of 20 entries) add more ports to one entry or if there's a way around this.
If not, my other question is can I use this router (which was bought for wireless access capability) as a mere wireless access point and allow a non wireless router (my D-LINK GamerLounge DGL-4100) to do the port forwarding until I ship off to college in about 3 months and if so, I would need instructions and then the instructions on how to switch it back.
I'm not dumb or inadequate with technology or networking, but I'm not sure if I can do this... I want to retain the wireless features, but I'd prefer my router be able to do the port-forwarding as it does a great job of that.
