Hello, I'm using the above router to port forward to my DVR to view my home camera. I have given the DVR box a static ip of 192.168.1.17 a default subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 a gateway of 192.168.1.1 all on my Lan side. This info I gained using ipconfig /all command.
The DVR I set to listen on port 8088 for web browser traffic. This works using internet explorer http://192.168.1.17:8088 and accepting active-x. I can view my camera.
The DVR I set to listen on port 9000 for the software that came with the DVR box. This also works using 192.168.1.17 port 9000. I can view my camera.
The DVR I set to listen on port 15961 for mobile traffic (itouch, IPhone e.t.c.). I use an app from the iTunes app store called cplayer, I use 192.168.1.17 port 15961 and I get the following message connecting....buffering..0%...100% playing...black screen and the app exits.
I know the app works because I can remote view a different external camera on a dyndns address.
I can also view my own camera from another network using internet explorer and the DVR software using a dyndns address that I set up, but not the itouch.
If anyone could help me spot what I'm doing wrong I would greatly appreciate it.....Perhaps a Pint of Guinness would act as an incentive
