Hey there - I have a new Zoom X6 ADSL modem with built-in wireless router. I have followed both Zoom's and Portforward's insctuctions on setting up a virtual server, but to no avail. Any advise or "undocumented" steps I am missing?
Server is set to a "fixed" IP in Zoom at 10.0.0.8
Server is configured to "listen" on port 88
From the LAN, if Ihttp://10.0.0.8:88 I get the server's welcome page.
If I try using my ADSL "WAN" IP (the address assigned by the telco)http://65.xxx.xxx.xxx:88 I get Error 404. However, if I leave off the port 88 and just default to port 80, I get the Zoom configuration panel log-in...(which by the way, I cannot figure out how to turn off WAN access to that, so just hope I have a good password!)
So, I know;
1) the server is working and listening on port 88
2) access to my router via the public IP is working
However, passing through the router when I specify port 88 is not happening.
Also, I tried to just port-forward port 80, but the Zoom config panel jumps up instead of passing it through, hence the non-standard port for my server, which is fine - it is just for my use anyway....
Thanks in advance...
