port forwading utorrent

port forwading utorrent

i am forwarding ports 14873 and 14874 to utorrent.i used portforward.com info for my actiontec gt704wg router.it said i need a static ip so i did that, in norton 360 allowed utorrent program.after forwarding ports i used pf portchecker and allowed that program in norton 360. i choose tcp and clicked check me and it said port is not open or reachable.what do i do now please help,using windows vista and internet explorer. :( :( :( :(

what firewall/firewalls do you use?

what brand name and model is your modem... is the modem the gt704wg?

what type of connection do you have? (exp: wall-modem-computer or wall-modem-router-computer)

the modem is built into the router actiontec gt704wg
the firewall is norton 360
the connection is?? running a laptop off main computer,network is beling not sure what you mean by wall??prob. 2nd one

do i have to create a rule or check something in norton??

#2 Which guide did you follow?

#3 You did turn off UPnP in the router, if that exist?

#4 Since you got Norton, you did turn off the firewall built into Windows?

#5 Your computer is setup to use a Static IP that outside of the range of the DHCP server Knowledge Base › How to choose a Static IP address

?

#6 What port checker did you use?

b) Was it one of these:

http://www.dyndns.com/support/tools/openport.html
http://www.whatsmyip.org/ports/
http://www.canyouseeme.org/

c) and if so, what was it?  I know not open, but I have to know the exact result (no including the port number and IP Address shown).
