Time Warner Road Runner Dynamic

Hi,

I have time warner cable as my internet provider, The problem is that they only provide dynamic ip address. I'm trying to get connected to u2torrents with bit torrent but they are unable to see my connectivity.

I have a d-link rounter connected to the modem.

Does anyone know how I can make my dynamic into a static? I'm using a Mac OS X

The address you need to change from Dynamic to Static is   NOT   the address coming from RoadRunner.

That's called your "Public IP Address" and should not be changed.



You need to change the IP address that's being assigned to your COMPUTER by the router.

That's called the "Private IP Address" , and that one YOU can control.
