Hi, Lately I have been trying to run a small server, my first few attempts were futile and now I am trying to solve this. I am trying to forward port 25565, I have forwarded ports in the past and have been able to run small servers before, however the PFPortChecker is not able to ping my router let alone check the port. My knowledge of all of this is very basic and I have tried quite a bit to fix this. I have forwarded port 2556 TCP/UDP on my router and cannot connect to it. I am absolutely sure it is not a firewall blocking it, I have heard certain ISPs can block stuff like this, I have not been able to check. I am unsure of what to do/try. Please, any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
All right, thank you, your Portchecker verifies that the port is now open but still cannot ping the router. UPnP was switched off (Only have 1 console) Starting IP: 192.168.1.100 Ending IP: 192.168.1.149 (according to "netstat -n" I am 192.168.1.101 so I am assuming that is okay, that is the IP I used to forward the ports) The external IP shown matches the Internet IP Address under Status>Router. There is no device between the router and modem. My main Firewall is Window's Firewall, I have it set very loosely and have had it disabled when checking ports. I am assuming to run this server, not LAN, people are going to need to be able to ping my router. Thank you again for your time! :)
